Independent health test comparisons
ProjectScreen exists to help people make confident, informed decisions about their health testing — without the noise, the marketing, or the conflicts of interest.
What we do
We research, review and compare health tests from every major provider we can access. That includes at-home blood tests, hormone panels, fertility tests, STI screening, cancer risk assessments and general wellness panels.
For each test we look at clinical credibility, the quality of the report you receive, how clearly results are explained, turnaround time, value for money and the reliability of the provider's collection process.
We then score everything using a structured framework and publish those scores publicly — including our confidence level in each score, so you know how well-evidenced our assessment is.
Our editorial independence
No provider can pay for a better score, a higher ranking or a placement on this site. Our rankings are determined entirely by editorial assessment.
We do earn affiliate commissions when you purchase a test through our links. This is how we fund the research. But it has no influence on our scores or rankings — a test with a high commission rate will still rank below a better test with a lower one.
Where we have a commercial relationship with a provider we disclose this. You will always be able to see our scoring rationale and the evidence behind each score.
How we score tests
Our scoring framework evaluates each test across several criteria. The weighting of each criterion varies by test type — a hormone panel is assessed differently to an STI screen. The full framework is documented on our methodology page.
Each score also carries a confidence rating. A test we have personally ordered and assessed carries a confidence score close to 10. A test we have evaluated remotely based on available public information may carry a confidence score of 5 or 6. We show this so you can weight our assessments appropriately.
We review scores regularly. If a provider changes their process, report quality or pricing, our scores are updated.
Who we are
